To enrich the quality of human life at work by serving as a forum for exchanging experiences and disseminating information in human resources development and management originating in diverse disciplines such as engineering, business and commerce, politics, health and biological sciences, law enforcement and defence, management, and education, among others. To establish and develop channels of communication between policy makers, researchers, practitioners, and other professionals working in human resources development and management in manufacturing and service sectors.

To provide a forum for exchange of human resources development and management initiatives and practices in different countries and cultures of the world, recognising that enriching the quality of human life is not the exclusive preserve of one country or culture, and that every country and culture could benefit from the experiences of other countries and cultures.

IJHRDM is intended to be a resource to those interested in the growth and management of human resources. This includes, but is not limited to, managers, engineers, policy makers and planners, legal experts, union leaders, researchers, practitioners, consultants, business leaders and employers, educators, and recruiters in manufacturing and service enterprises.

The nature of the topic is such that readership will be global. IJHRDM will publish original work advancing theoretical constructs including concepts, models, algorithms, methods, etc. From time-to-time, IJHRDM will devote special issues to pressing roblems in human resources development and management.

The people employed by the Postal Service are its major asset, and the training and development of these human resources is a key investment strategy for individual and organizational success. The Postal Service provides systems and resources to meet the training and development needs of its employees, to fulfill organizational skill requirements, and to provide individuals with career growth opportunities. Broadly stated, it is Postal Service policy to provide employees with training and development opportunities consistent with operational requirements, occupational categories, and skill requirements. Employees are provided with both formal and informal learning experiences that contribute to individual growth and improved performance in current or future jobs. Formal training and development systems are organized to achieve learning objectives in knowledge, skills, and abilities of employees and certain specifically designated applicants for employment.

The good news is that there are technologies to help manage many of the day-to-day work related to payroll, benefits, and other transactional HR activities. He says that more than ever before, strategy and planning are integral to successful staffing and support of long-term organizational goals. The present study examines the effects of training and development on organizational innovation. We specifically suggest that the training and development investments of an organization affect its innovative performance by promoting various learning practices. We empirically tested our hypothesis by using time-lagged, multi-source data collected from Korean companies that represent diverse industries. Our analysis showed that corporate expenditure for internal training predicts interpersonal and organizational learning practices, which, in turn, increase innovative performance.
